ISSEY MIYAKE WATCHプロジェクトに、ドイツ人デザイナーコンスタンティン・グルチッチ氏が参加し「ROKU」が誕生しました。「ROKU」は、六角と円の２つの形状を組み合わせることから発想したデザインです。六角は、ハニカムや雪の結晶など自然界に存在する力強い形、時の経過を描く円と互いに存在感を放ち調和しています。直線的でシンプルな印象のフェイスと、ガラスからサイドにつながる繊細でやわらかなラインが美しい時計です。（解説／セイコーウオッチ株式会社） 2020年6月発売 ¥32,000 ～ ¥37,000（税抜き）

様々なデザインの時計が世界中にあふれている。そんななか、ハニカム構造や雪の結晶など自然界の形である六角形と、刻み続ける時の流れを表現する文字盤の円形とによって、それぞれが意味を持ちつつ、時間という概念がデザインされている。これらの六角と円というシンプルで原理的な形状から長い時間をかけて仕上げられた洗練されたデザインは、精密でリアルな時間を刻むとともに、ユーザーの心に確実に刻まれるだろう。（審査委員／仲 晃一）

The birth of "ROKU" is the result of German designer Konstantin Grcic participating in the ISSEY MIYAKE WATCH project. The design was inspired by combining two shapes, a hexagon and a circle. Hexagon is a powerful shape that exists in nature. The hexagon, and the circle that expresses the passing of time, are in harmony with each other while possessing presecence as distinct elements. Among many different designs of watch in the world, this watch was designed with the notion of time, in the hexagonal shape inspired from nature such as the honeycomb structure and snowflakes, and the circular shape of the dial, expressing the passing of time—each of which has its own meaning. These simple and fundamental shapes of hexagon and circle that were turned into a sophisticated design over a long period of time, will not only mark the time with precision and realism, but sure to be unforgettable.
