時代の関心事になりゆく空気の質。安心して健やかに暮らしていく為に、キレイな空気に特化したエアコンを開発。内部の清潔性と空間空気浄化の両立を目指し、エアコンと空気清浄機を一つにするという目標を掲げ、空気清浄機開発で培った経験と、エアコンの構造や部品を抜本的に見直すことで実現しました。カビの原因は新構造で抑制し、空気清浄能力は業界基準をクリアした、空気清浄機と呼べる唯一のエアコンです。キレイな空気を部屋隅々に届ける大きなアークパネルと本体の構成は、天面に広い吸気面積を確保しながらも、-Rでカットすることでボリュームを軽減し、かつキレイな空気が循環する様を表現しています。（解説／奈良 俊佑） 2019年12月発売 オープン価格

室内環境において、暖かい空気は天井側、冷たい空気は床側に滞留するため、暖房は窓側下部から吹き出す床下空調がコールドドラフトを抑える上で理想的である。しかし、構造やスペース的制約で暖房機の床上設置は難しく、冷暖一体機器の天井側設置が一般的である。これに対し、フロントパネルをスライドさせ暖かい気流を下方に大きく吹き出すことを実現するとともに、吸込口を天面全体に採用しており空気清浄機としても秀逸である。（審査委員／長谷川 聡）

Air quality is becoming a concern of the times. We have developed an air conditioner specialized in offering clean air for a healthy life with peace of mind. With the goal of unifying an air conditioner and air purifier to achieve both internal cleanliness and space air purification, AY-L40P was realized by fundamentally reviewing the structure and parts of an air conditioner based on the experience gained through the development of air purifiers. It is the only air conditioner that can be called an air purifier, which eliminates the cause of mold with a new system and meets the industrial standard. While the large arc panel delivers clean air to every corner of the room and the body structure secures a wide intake area on the top surface, its concave shape reduces the bulk and expresses the circulation of clean air. In an indoor environment, warm air stays near the ceiling and cold air near the floor, so underfloor air conditioning that blows out from under the window is ideal for preventing cold drafts. However, installing a heater on the floor is challenging due to structural and spatial restrictions and so installing the heating/cooling integrated device on the ceiling is more common. Meanwhile, this product is capable of blowing out a large amount of warm airflow downward by sliding its front panel.
