シーパセオは、広島・呉・松山を2時間40分でつなぐ定期航路フェリーです。既存フェリーの使われ方を改めて調査・分析し直し、瀬戸内海国立公園を航行するフェリーならではの固有の価値創造に取り組みました。事業者とデザイナーの共創のもと、「Park on theSETONAIKAI：瀬戸内海の移動を楽しむみんなの公園」をコンセプトとして導き出し、利用者の多様なくつろぎ方を包摂する、まるで海上に浮かぶ公園で憩うかのような移動時間の提供を目指しました。プロダクト、ブランド、サービスに至る一貫したデザインを通して、フェリーを公園として認識させる徹底した世界観づくりを行っています。（解説／瀬戸内海汽船株式会社）2019年8月就航 広島̶松山間大人運賃［片道］￥3,670

芸予航路（広島～呉～松山）に28年ぶりに投入されたカーフェリーである。 バリアフリーや省エネへの対応のみならず、乗客の多様なニーズに寄り添ったきめ細かなデザインがなされており、 豪華客船や特別な遊覧船でもなく、あくまで定期航路の船でありながら機能本位にならず隅々までデザインの手が入っている。また豪雨災害など有事の際には定員を増やして運行することができるなど、社会資本としての向上を図る姿勢も評価に値する。（選定委員／齋藤 和彦）

SEA PASEO is a regular ferry line connecting Hiroshima, Kure, and Matsuyama in two hours and 40 minutes. Existing ways of ferry usage were reexamined and reanalyzed to create unique value to ferries running in the Setonaikai National Park. The business owner and designers collaborated under the concept “Park on the SETONAIKAI: A park for everyone to enjoy transportation of the Seto Inland Sea” aiming to provide a travel time with various ways to relax and enjoy as if users are in a park floating in the ocean. The new car ferry was introduced for the first time in 28 years in the Geiyo route (Hiroshima-Kure-Matsuyama). The design facilitates accessibility and eco-friendly features as well as meeting the needs of diverse passengers. Though the ferry is made to run a regular line unlike a luxury cruise ship or a special sightseeing boat, traces of careful design are seen in every corner without the function prevailing. Their attitude to enrich the social capital is also worthy of acclaim such as the ability to operate with increased capacity in case of disas trous heavy rain and other emergencies.
