「Paper Made Shoehorn」は、紙の持つ豊かな質感を生活の中に取り入れてもらいたいという想いから生まれました。高純度のパルプ繊維原紙からなるバルカナイズドファイバーを素材とし、ひとつひとつ職人の手作業によって作られるこの靴べらは、紙ならではの優しい手触りと、紙とは思えない強度を併せ持っています。一枚の紙に加えられた捻りによる適度なしなり、手に馴染みやすい形状は他にはない使い心地を生み、紙の風合いを生かした表面加工、美しいラインとその陰影が靴を履く所作そのものを美しくさせる全く新しい靴べらです。（解説／安達 愛、安達 貴訓）2019年4月発売 ¥4,700（税抜き）

素材であるバルカナイズド・ファイバーは産業用途にも使用される硬度のあるファイバー素材だ。プラスチックや金属、木材でもなく、その素材特性を活かしたシンプルな造形美を備えたデザインは他に類を見ない靴ベラだ。素材感は勿論、捻りのある部分はユーザーとの接点としてグリップ性や使いやすさを生み出す機能を有することを想像させ、思わず使ってみたくなる靴ベラだ。（選定委員／稲垣 揚平）

The “Paper Made Shoehorn” was born from a desire to incorporate the rich texture of paper into everyday life. The shoehorn is handmade one by one by craftsmen using vulcanized fiber made of high-purity pulp fiber base paper, which has both a gentle touch unique to paper and strength other paper would not possess. A moderate flexibility from a twist applied on a piece of paper and a form that fits comfortably in a hand create a unique feel of use. Because of the paper texture of the surface finish and the beautiful line and subtleties, it is a completely new shoehorn, one that makes putting on shoes a beautiful act. The material, vulcanized fiber is a hardened fiber material that is also used in industrial applications. With a simple design utilizing the material’s characteristics, different from those of plastic, metal or wood materials, a shoehorn that is unlike any other is offered.
