「BCPLAY_」の誕生のきっかけは、二子玉川 蔦屋家電の音楽家電フロアで聞いた、CDプレーヤーを求められる多くのお客様の声でした。音楽の楽しみ方が多様化する中、敢えてアナログ感ある、レコードプレーヤーやカメラを彷彿させるデザインのBluetooth機能付きCDプレーヤーを製作しました。スピーカーやヘッドホン、イヤホンに無線接続ができ、3.5mm ステレオミニ、光デジタル端子も付いていて、お好みのスタイルで音楽を楽しめます。もし家の棚に眠っているCDがあれば、もう一度手に取って楽しんでもらう、そんなきっかけをお届けできれば嬉しいです。（解説／株式会社蔦屋家電エンタープライズ）2019年4月発売 ¥12,000（税抜き）

ストリーミングサービスで音楽を聴くことが普通になっている昨今、CDという物理的なメディアが欠かせない人も多いと聞く。LPレコードが再注目されていることと関連がありそうである。このBCPLAY_は、蓋を外してCDを置くという行為がレコードプレーヤーに似ていて、音楽を聴く「作法」のようで好ましい。充電式バッテリー、Bluetooth接続で手持ちのオーディオ機器で楽しめる新しい概念のCDプレーヤーである。（選定委員／高木 庸）

The motivation for BCPLAY_ comes from numerous requests for a CD player from customers in the home audio section of our Futako Tamagawa TSUTAYA ELECTRICS. As the way we enjoy music diversifies, we designed and produced a Bluetooth-enabled CD player suggestive of an analog device like a record player or film camera.BCPLAY_ can be connected wirelessly to speakers, headphones or earphones, but also has a 3.5 mm mini stereo jack and an optical digital terminal, allowing users to enjoy music in the style they prefer. Currently, the predominant method of listening to music has become through streaming services. But apparently, a good number of people find physical media like CDs indispensable. This may be related to the rekindling of public interest in LP records. The BCPLAY_ is operated in a similar manner as record players by lifting the lid and placing a CD, almost like a gratifying “ceremony” before listening to music.
